The Trustees have decided that in order to support projects more effectively the Joanies Trust will no longer accept unsolicited applications. Trustees will use their knowledge of successful applicants over the last five years to invite up to three charities annually to make an application for funding. There will therefore only be one decision-making round a year in December.

The Trustees recognise how valuable the work of the voluntary sector is, and know that this decision may be disappointing to some, but believe this is a better way to help those in youth work. The Joanies Trust is administered along purely voluntary lines,with Trustees giving a great deal of their time free, and it is committed to keeping costs as low as possible so that as much as possible can be distributed in grant form.
